The Argentine gaffer got his first win as PSG drug Brest 3-0.
PSG have earned three points after defeating Brest 3-0 while Mauricio Pochettino also registered his first win as coach of Les Parisiens.
Pochettino had a sluggish start to his managerial reign with the French Champions following the lacklustre draw against St Etienne.
However, the Argentine has redeemed the things with the win against Brest although PSG couldn’t dominate the entire game.
Moise Kean scored an early goal to give the hosts the lead and it remained as the only one in the first half.
The Italian striker continues to shine for Les Parisiens as he has nine goals to his name so far.
Mauro Icardi doubled the lead in the 81st minute before Pablo Sarabia, another substitute, made it three for PSG minutes later.
It would be a stretch to consider the win as a comprehensive one rather than opponents being complacent in the second half.
However, PSG have closed their gap with Lyon in Ligue 1 title race as they are currently trailing Les Gones by a point.
Pochettino also admitted that higher standards are yet to be reached by his side.
“We are satisfied with the result, it is the fruit of the effort of all the players,” he told Canal+.
“But there is still a lot we have to correct. We must continue to work with high standards.”
PSG will next face Marseille in Trophee Des Champions final.
