Tottenham Update: Kane new deal and Mourinho replacement identified

Juventus vs Lokomotiv Prediction: Maurizio Sarri had some anxious moments in Serie A

New deal for Kane

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to offer a new deal to star striker Harry Kane.

The 27-year-old England international has been linked with a move away from the London club in recent weeks and Spurs are keen to hold on to him for the long run.

Apparently, Harry Kane wants to play regular Champions League football and Jose Mourinho’s side are in danger of missing out on a top-four finish this season.

It is believed that the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the England international and Harry Kane could be tempted to move on in search of Champions League football this summer.

However, Daniel Levy is not keen on letting the player leave and Spurs are willing to begin discussions over a bumper new deal.

It remains to be seen whether the Londoners can convince the 27 year old to come in his long term future to the club in the coming weeks.

Mourinho replacement identified

Meanwhile manager Jose Mourinho is under immense pressure after his side’s mediocre league campaign so far.

The Portuguese manager was expected to help Tottenham challenge for the title and win silverware this season.

Instead, the Londoners are struggling to finish in the top four and their only chance of winning a trophy is the Carabao Cup.

Apparently, the Premier League side are already looking at potential replacements and they have identified the former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri as a target.

The Italian did a reasonably good job at Chelsea and he helped them win the Europa League during his time at the London club.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs can lure him back to the Premier League once again this summer.
