Luis Suarez thinks Erling Haaland will edge out Kylian Mbappe in future

Erling Haaland-Norway

Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are undoubtedly the next two superstars in world football and Atletico Madrid forward Luis Suarez has now revealed his preference for the Norwegian striker out of the two.

Suarez believes that Haaland is likely to edge out Mbappe when asked to pick between the two players.

The experienced Uruguayan said: “He (Haaland) is a great player, he is at a spectacular level. He has an admirable physical power. He is one of the best 9s in the world that will mark an era.”

He added on Mbappe being edged out: “A little more for Haaland, but Mbappe is at a very high level.”

The Borussia Dortmund striker has already established himself as one of the best attackers in world football and he’s only 20 years old.

Haaland has 33 goals in 31 appearances for the German club this season and he has been linked with several European heavyweights already.

It will be interesting to see if the German outfit can hold onto him beyond this season.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe has 30 goals in 36 appearances for Paris Saint Germain and he has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The Frenchman has already won the World Cup with his country and he has enjoyed tremendous success with PSG at the club level.

It is hard to predict who will step up as the better of the two players in future but there is no doubt that the duo could enjoy a rivalry like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi over the next decade.
