Manchester City crashed to a 5-2 defeat at home to Leicester City earlier today at Etihad Stadium.

Riyad Mahrez scored the opening goal of the Premier League game for Manchester City just four minutes into the game.

Although Manchester City seemed in control for a brief period, Leicester City got back into the game through Jamie Vardy as the striker converted from the spot on the 37th minute.

Vardy scored his second goal of the game early on in the second half to give Leicester City the lead In the 54th minute.

The Leicester City star completed his hat trick four minutes later from the penalty spot once again.

James Madison made it 4-1 to Leicester City with a stunning strike from the long range.

Summer signing Nathan Ake scored a consolation goal for Manchester City to make it 4-2 but Leicester wrapped up the scoring with another penalty from Youri Tielemans.

 Brendan Rodgers will be delighted with his team’s performance away from home against one of the best teams in the country.

Leicester have won all three League games so far and they will be hoping to challenge for the top four this year.

Pep Guardiola will know that his side will have to improve a lot in the coming weeks if they are to win the title against Liverpool this season.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester City can tighten up at the back and get back to winning ways in the next game.
