Manchester City transfer round-up: Tagliafico, Zinchenko, Mahrez, Roberts

Upbeat Manchester City plot £150m squad overhaul

Man City transfer updates: Ajax defender on the radar, Pep on Zinchenko, Mahrez future

Tagliafico to Man City

Manchester City are interested in signing Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico, with Pep Guardiola looking to strengthen the left-back slot. Citizens have also been told to pay 22m pounds for Ajax defender, who has recently caught the eyes of Leicester City, the team which thrashed Citizens 5-2 in last week’s Premier League fixture.

Guardiola is interested in adding a new left-back to the squad following Benjamin Mendy’s not-so-good performances in recent times.

Pep confirms injury for Zinchenko amid exit links.

Pep Guardiola has confirmed injury for Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has been linked with a move to Barcelona. Furthermore, the Ukrainian international is one of the players who have higher odds to leave the club. City are also looking to cash in on Zinchenko although he has been a useful player for them. It has also been reported that Ukrainian’s departure alone could pave the way for new left-back at City.

Yesterday or two days ago he was injured again,” “He was recovered, but he got injured again and is out for two or three weeks.”

Riyaz Mahrez and Roberts to leave

Riyad Mahrez and Patrick Roberts are some of the players alongside Zinchenko who have been tipped to leave the club as per betting odds. Mahrez is on the radar of Real Madrid and PSG, but it is unlikely that any of his suitors will afford to sign him in the current transfer window. Meanwhile, Roberts is set to join Middlesbrough for another loan spell.
