Mohamed Salah opens up about his contract situation at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah-Liverpool

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from Anfield at the end of this season.

The Egyptian international was recently linked with Paris Saint-Germain, and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League side can hold on to him beyond this summer.

The Reds are yet to open talks regarding a contract extension with the player, and Salah has now confirmed the same.

He said: “No one is talking to me about anything, so I can’t say much about that. No one in the club is talking to me about anything, so I do not know.”

There is no doubt that the 28-year-old has been the best player at the club this season, and Liverpool must do everything in their power to keep him at the club for as long as possible.

Salah has 29 goals to his name in all competitions, and he has managed to deliver consistently even though his teammates have been quite mediocre this season.

The Egyptian has already established himself as one of the best goal scorers in the Premier League, and he deserves a new contract with a pay rise. He has 123 goals in 198 appearances since joining the Reds.

Liverpool will be hoping to challenge for the Premier League title and the Champions League once again next year, and keeping Salah at the club will be crucial to their ambitions.

The Egyptian is unlikely to have any shortage of suitors given his quality and consistency, and the Reds cannot afford to take any chances regarding his future.

The player has a contract at Anfield until the summer of 2023, and it will be interesting to see if the two parties can thrash out an agreement in the coming months.
