AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been linked with a move away from the Italian club this summer, and his contract is set to expire in the coming weeks.
According to reports, Paris Saint Germain are keen on signing the goalkeeper on a free transfer, and they are currently locked in intensive negotiations with the player and his agent.
Apparently, the French outfit have offered the 22-year-old goalkeeper a contract worth around €10 million per season.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano reports that the transfer is imminent and an agreement is close.
The player has been linked with a move to Juventus as the potential long term successor to Gianluigi Buffon. Still, the Italian giants are currently struggling to offload the likes of Wojciech Szczesny.
It will be interesting to see if PSG can wrap up his transfer in the coming days.
Donnarumma is already one of the best young players in Europe, and he has the potential to develop into a superstar in future.
PSG will need a long term replacement for Keylor Navas soon, and the Italian international certainly fits the profile.
The French outfit will be looking to strengthen their squad considerably and launch another assault at the Champions League next season. The signings of Donnarumma and Wijnaldum on free transfers would be superb investments.
The Dutch midfielder has already signed a contract with them, and it remains to be seen whether the French outfit can lure Donnarumma away from Italy now.
Recently, Zlatan Ibrahimovic claimed that Donnarumma is the best goalkeeper in the world and if PSG manage to sign him, they would have a future star on their hands.
