Georginio Wijnaldum-Sadio Mane-Liverpool

Dutch international Georginio Wijnaldum has been linked with the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain in recent weeks and it seems that the Dutchman has now finalized his future.

According to Guardian, the 30-year-old midfielder has signed a contract with Paris Saint Germain after snubbing a move to Barcelona.

The report further states that the midfielder will now undergo his medical with the French outfit and his transfer will be officially confirmed once his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of this month.

Apparently, the player had an agreement with Barcelona and he was supposed to undergo a medical with them but he changed his mind after PSG came forward with a lucrative offer.

The French outfit offered him twice the money Barcelona were offering and Mauricio Pochettino also personally called the midfielder to convince him.

Wijnaldum has reportedly signed a three-year contract with the French outfit and it will be interesting to see if he can help them with major trophies next season.

The 30-year-old was a key player for Liverpool and he helped them win the Premier League and the Champions League during his time at the club.

The Dutchman can play in multiple positions across the midfield and his versatility and durability will be a major asset for Pochettino and Paris Saint Germain next year.

The midfielder has proven himself at the club level and the international level and signing a player of his calibre on a free transfer is a smart investment from the French outfit.
