 Inter confirm Bellerin interest

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has been linked with a move away from the London club, and Italian champions Inter Milan are thought to be keen on securing his services.

The Italian giants recently sold Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint Germain, and they are now looking to bring in a quality right-back replacement.

Club chief Beppe Marotta has confirmed that they are keen on signing the Arsenal defender this summer.

“Bellerin is a player we are following, but he is not our player, so I cannot say any more on that as it would be disrespectful to do so,” Marotta said.

It will be interesting to see if the Premier League side are willing to sanction his departure in the coming weeks.

Bellerin has been the longest-serving member of Arsenal’s current squad, and the Gunners will have to bring in adequate replacements if the Spaniard decides to move on.

Contractual mistakes continue to pain Arsenal

Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly stuck with Alexandre Lacazette despite wanting to move him on.

According to reports, the Gunners are open to cashing in on the Frenchman, but his suitors are not keen on paying the asking price, and the player is not angling for a move away from the London club either.

It has been a recent trend with Arsenal when it comes to offloading fringe players.

These players are initially signed on lucrative contracts, and the players tend to stick around because they know that they’re not going to receive the same amount of money elsewhere.

Arsenal need to reduce their wage bill in order to bring in other reinforcements, and it will be interesting to see if they can get rid of Alexandre Lacazette in the coming weeks.

The striker will be a free agent next summer, and the Gunners will have to cash in on him now.
