Arsenal keen on Arthur and Youri Tielemans

Arsenal are reportedly keen on improving their midfield options this summer, and they are eyeing up a move for the Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo.

According to a report from Goal.com, the Gunners have already made contact with the Italian giants regarding a loan move for the Brazilian midfielder, and it remains to be seen whether they can pull off the transfer before the January window closes.

The Gunners have bounced back strongly after a disappointing start to the season, and they will be hoping to finish in the top four this year.

Bringing in a quality midfielder like Arthur could certainly help them. The Brazilian could form a quality partnership alongside the likes of Thomas Partey.

Arthur has struggled to establish himself as a key player at Juventus since his move from Barcelona, and a loan move to Arsenal could be ideal for the player as well.

The Brazilian was rated quite highly during his time at the Spanish club, and it will be interesting to see if he can resurrect his career with a move to the Premier League.

If Arthur manages to impress during the second half of the season, Arsenal will be able to sign him permanently in the summer.

The report from Goal adds that Arsenal are keeping tabs on the Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans as well.

The Belgian international midfielder has been exceptional for the Foxes since his move to the King Power stadium, and he would be a quality acquisition for any Premier League club.

However, Leicester are unlikely to sell their star midfielder midway through the season, and the Gunners might have to wait until the summer to secure his services.

Both Tielemans and Arthur would improve Arsenal in the middle of the park, and it remains to be seen who they end up signing eventually.
