The English forward has had his say about United winning penalty in numbers.
There has been a lot of talks going lately on how Manchester United are receiving more penalties, which was even criticised by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
United have been awarded 20 penalties than of the Reds 10 from the start of the last season and the stat has left Klopp in bewilderment.
Now, Marcus Rashford has had his say on why United were good at winning penalties, pointing out his fingers to Jose Mourinho.
The English forward revealed that the current Spurs boss had a pep talk during his time at Old Trafford, which then changed their fortunes regarding penalties.
“But there have been times when we have probably not got penalties. I remember when José was manager, there were five or six times I can remember where I should have had a penalty. José ended up saying to me: ‘If you are not savvy about the way you do it, then you are not going to [get] give[n] it.’
“After that, we started to get a few penalties. It was something that in terms of development you have to learn that and understand it.”
United have been relentless of late in the Premier League, currently leading the points table three points clear of the Reds.
Both will lock horns this Sunday at Anfield and a win will allow Klopp’s men reclaim the top spot.
