Brighton 0-1 Arsenal: Lacazette helps Gunners to secure consecutive wins

Arsenal eyeing for Thomas Partey and permanent Ceballos deal

Arsenal picked up a 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League earlier tonight.

Alexandre Lacazette scored the only goal of the game 29 seconds after coming on as a substitute in the second half.

The French international scored on the 66th minute to grind out all three points for the Gunners.

Arsenal seemed to have regained some confidence after their impressive win over Chelsea last time out and they have now managed to pick up back to back wins in the Premier League.

It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can build on this in the coming weeks and climb further up the table. Tonight’s win takes Arsenal up to 13th in the Premier League table with 20 points and Brighton are now 17th in the league with 13 points.

The home side have now managed to extend their winless run to seven games in the Premier League and Brighton will have to improve a lot if they want to survive relegation this season.

Alexandre Lacazette scored the opening goal of the game when Bukayo Saka turned on the halfway line and set up the French forward, who then took a touch before curling a low effort into the bottom right corner.

Brighton and Arsenal had their best chance of the game after half time when Lewis dunk poked wide for the hosts and then Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s close-range effort was saved by Robert Sanchez.

Gabriel Martinelli had another chance to put Arsenal ahead just before Lacazette’s goal but them youngster whipped his effort just over the crossbar.
