Chelsea have thrown themselves into the ring, as they offer £60 million plus Tammy Abraham to Borussia Dortmund, as a makeweight for Erling Haaland.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been linked with a move away from the German club in recent weeks. It appears that Chelsea have agreed on personal terms with the Norwegian striker, and the Blues have also launched an opening bid to sign the player.

Apparently, Chelsea have submitted a bid of around £60 million, and they have offered Tammy Abraham as a makeweight to the German outfit.

Abraham has struggled for regular game time at Stamford Bridge, and therefore his inclusion in the transfer as a makeweight is hardly surprising.

Haaland has developed into one of the best strikers on the planet, and he managed to score 41 goals across all competitions last season.

There is no doubt that the 20-year-old could prove to be a sensational signing for the Blues as they look to challenge for the Premier League title.

Chelsea managed to win the Champions League last season, and they will be hoping to close the gap with Manchester City now.

The striking position has been a weakness for the Blues this past season, especially with Timo Werner failing to score consistently.

There is no doubt that the Borussia Dortmund striker would be an upgrade on the German international. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can convince the German outfit to sell the player in the coming weeks.

Dortmund have been adamant that the 20-year-old will not be sold this summer, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues can change their stance.
