Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has dropped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge since the arrival of Edouard Mendy, and it appears that the Blues could cash in on the player this summer.

According to a report from the Sun, the Blues are now prepared to listen to offers for the Spaniard.

Kepa needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and sitting on the bench at Stamford Bridge would not be ideal for his development.

Chelsea paid around £72 million to sign the player from Athletic Bilbao, and they are unlikely to be able to recoup that kind of money for its services.

Although the Spaniard has improved immensely over the past year, he has not held down a regular starting berth at Stamford Bridge.

Senegalese international Edouard Mendy has been a spectacular signing for the Blues, and it will be interesting to see if Kepa can force his way into the starting line-up over the coming weeks.

The Spaniard has started for Chelsea in the cup games, and he has done quite well for the side.

Kepa recently pulled off some crucial saves in the semi-final of the Club World Cup, and he has played a critical role in Chelsea reaching the final of the Carabao cup.

The former Chelsea star Petr Cech has played a key role in the goalkeeper’s development, and the former Chelsea man believes that Kepa is now a better goalkeeper than David De Gea.
