Chelsea star wants out after bust-up with Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard introduced Girud in place of a defender before the goal

Chelsea Midfielder N’Golo Kante wants to leave the club after falling out with the manager Frank Lampard.

The Frenchman was linked with a move away from the club earlier this summer but he ended up staying.

The Blues wanted to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United but the Hammers managed to hold on to the young midfielder and Lampard had to persist with Kante.

It will be interesting to see if the Frenchman decides to leave the club when the January transfer window opens.

He has been one of their best players in the recent years and he helped them win the Premier League since his move from Leicester City.

The Frenchman comes across as one of the nicest guys in football and it is quite surprising to see that Frank Lampard has fallen out with the midfielder.

It will be interesting to see how this situation affects Kante’s selection in the upcoming months.

If the midfielder does not start regularly it is likely that he will try to force a move away in January.

The 29-year-old is still a top-class player who can improve most teams in the League and Chelsea will do well to hold on to him.

Apparently, Kante  wanted some time off to attend a personal event and Frank Lampard forced him to train with the club instead.

With several players away on international duty, it seems that Kante wanted to spend some time with his friends and family.

However, given the coronavirus pandemic and the protocols surrounding it, Lampard’s decision is hardly surprising and unreasonable.
