Chelsea

Chelsea’s title quest took another big hit last Tuesday as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Brighton.

The Blues took the lead in the game through Hakim Ziyech. But an Adam Webster header in the second half denied Chelsea maximum points and condemned them to their third draw in the last four PL games.

Just last month, Thomas Tuchel’s side were still sitting on top of the table. But a run of just three wins (D5, L2) from their last ten games has them sitting in third, 12 points behind Man City in first.

They come into this tie with one win from their last five league games (D3, L1), and are in danger of dropping out of the top four if they continue to drop points at their current rate.

They are unbeaten in their last nine home games though and will fancy their chances of winning this game against Spurs judging by their recent record against Conte’s side. The Blues have won each of their last three head-to-head meetings with their London rivals and will be desperate to pick up another win in this tie.

Possible Chelsea starting line-ups

Kepa Arizaballaga; Malang Sarr, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger; Cesar Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Matteo Kovacic, Marcos Alonso; Mason Mount, Kai Havertz; Romelu Lukaku.

Injured: Trevoh Chalobah, Ben Chilwell, Reece James, Andre Christensen

Tottenham Hotspur

Despite being 2-1 down in the 94th minute against Leicester City on Wednesday, Tottenham came away with maximum points beating the Foxes 2-3 in the end.

In a dramatic game that saw Leicester City take the lead against the run of play, Spurs needed two injury-time goals from Steven Bergwijn to win the game.

The result extended their unbeaten run under Conte to nine in the league and took the visitors into fifth above Arsenal.

They are currently just one point behind fourth-placed West Ham United who have played three games more. A win in this game could see them break into the top four if West Ham drops points in their game against Manchester United.

Given their recent record against Chelsea, the visitors will be desperate to win this game and break their recent losing streak against their hosts.

Possible Tottenham Hotspur starting line-ups

Hugo Lloris; Davinson Sanchez, Ben Davies, Japhet Tanganga, Emerson Royal, Matt Doherty; Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Winks, Oliver Skipp; Lucas Moura, Harry Kane.

Injured: Eric Dier, Cristian Romero, Son Heung-Min

Doubtful: None
