The French World Cup winner is said to be stalling the extension talks with Paris Saint Germain.
PSG are said to be working on contract renewal of Kylian Mbappe whose current deal expires in the summer of 2022.
However, earlier reports stated that the 21-year-old opted against signing a new deal with Les Parisiens as eyes for green pasture. The French World Cup winner had previously opened up about his contract situation at PSG, stating that he was caught in a dilemma whether to sign a new deal or not.
Amid this, PSG have slapped a price tag worth 200m euros for Mbappe, which comes as a big blow for his long-time admirers Real Madrid.
The former Monaco star is understood to a priority signing for Los Blancos before 2022, but PSG’s valuation might well have hindered their pursuit.
Mbappe was the star in PSG’s 4-1 drubbing of Barcelona in the Champions League as he netted a hat-trick. Madrid were also reportedly happy to see their prime tag rout their arch-rivals.
Neymar closing in on contract extension
Neymar is reportedly set to sign a new deal, which will extend his stay at PSG until 2026. The Brazilian had stated his desire to continue playing for the French capital club, though he had created commotion in the past while trying to force a return to Barca.
The 29-year-old missed the action against the Blaugrana due to injury and his participation in the second leg remains doubtful.
