Christian Eriksen set to join Brentford

Christian Eriksen-Inter Milan

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen will soon return to the Premier League.

According to a report from the Mirror, the Danish international will join Premier League side Brentford in the next 72 hours.

The midfielder was sidelined for the past seven months after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing for his country at the Euros. Still, it seems that he has recovered fully, and he is prepared to return to action soon.

It will be interesting to see if the midfielder can pass his medical with the Premier League side over the next few days.

The player was linked with a return to his former club Ajax as well.

Eriksen recently terminated his contract with Inter Milan after the Italian league refused to let him play him with an ICD fitted device in his heart.

The 29-year-old was an exceptional player for Tottenham in the Premier League, and it remains to be seen whether he can recapture his form and fitness with Brentford.

The newly-promoted Premier League side could definitely use more experience and quality in the midfield, and the arrival of Eriksen could prove to be a smart move for them.

The player will be available on a free transfer as well, and therefore it is a no-risk signing for the bees.

If Eriksen manages to recapture his peak form with Brentford, it could look like a transfer masterstroke for the newly-promoted outfit.

The Danish midfielder will add creativity and goals from the midfield.

Eriksen was one of the Premier League’s best creators during his time at Tottenham, and he should be able to settle in quickly and produce an immediate impact upon his return to England.
