Manchester United have been linked with a move for the FC Porto defender Alex Telles this summer.
According to reports, they are keeping tabs on the Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico as well.
The Red Devils have not managed to agree on a deal with Porto for the Brazilian so far, and the 28-year-old Ajax defender is an alternative option for them.
Tagliafico has done well for the Dutch outfit, and he could prove to be a smart addition for the Premier League side.
Manchester United need to add more competition to their left-back spot, and it will be interesting to see if they can sign the likes of Tagliafico or Telles before the transfer window closes.
According to reports, the agent’s defender could leave for a fee of around 23 million pounds. In contrast, Telles has a release clause of 36.7 million pounds in his contract at Porto.
It will be interesting to see who the Premier League giants end up signing eventually. Both players are capable of succeeding at Manchester United, and they could push Luke Shaw for the starting berth this season.
The increased competition will help every player perform at a higher level and in turn, improve the squad.
Tagliafico had been linked with a move to Leicester and Chelsea earlier this summer as well, and it will be interesting to see if he finally gets his move to the Premier League this summer.
