Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been linked with a move away from Germany this summer, and Premier League side Chelsea are thought to be keen on his services.
The 20-year-old striker recently missed pre-season training with Dortmund, and the club chief Michael Zorc joked that the player is already in England.
He told Sky Germany: “Erling is already in England.”
The Blues have reportedly started talks with the player’s agent regarding a summer move, and it will be interesting to see if they can agree on a fee with Dortmund now.
The German outfit have set a £150 million price tag on the forward this summer, but the player will be allowed to leave for a fee of just £65 million next year because of a release clause in his contract.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are reportedly plotting a big offer for the talented young striker.
Chelsea managed to win the Champions League last year, and they will be hoping to launch an assault on the Premier League this time around.
Thomas Tuchel needs to improve his attacking options to do so,, and Haaland would be a massive upgrade on Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham, and Olivier Giroud.
The 20-year-old has already established himself as one of the best players in the world, and he managed to score 41 goals across all competitions last season.
He has the talent and the physical attributes to succeed in English football, and he could sort out Chelsea’s striking position for the next decade if the Blues manage to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
