Paul Pogba returned to Manchester United in a club-record transfer worth around £89 million back in 2016, but the French World Cup winner is yet to justify his price tag at the Premier League club.

It has been a mixed spell for the 28-year-old midfielder since his return to Old Trafford, and Pogba is being linked with a move away from the club once again.

The midfielder has just one year left on his contract with the Premier League outfit, and Manchester United are yet to offer him an extension.

According to reports, the player is valued at £50 million by the Premier League club this summer because of his contract situation.

Paul Pogba would be able to leave the club on a free transfer next summer. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United decide to cash in on him this summer in order to avoid losing him for nothing.

Paris Saint-Germain are keen on signing the player, and the £50 million asking prices is not a problem for them.

The player’s agent has reportedly held talks with PSG recently.

For a player of Pogba’s ability and commercial appeal, the reported £50 million price tag seems very reasonable in today’s market. It remains to be seen whether the French giants are willing to cough up that kind of money for his services in the coming weeks.

Pogba was brought back to Old Trafford to help the Red Devils win the Premier League and establish themselves as a Champions League club.

The Frenchman has not managed to do either with the Red Devils so far.

A fresh challenge at Paris Saint-Germain could be ideal for him next year. The Ligue 1 outfit are putting together a formidable side capable of winning the Champions League. They have already signed the likes of Gini Wijnaldum and Sergio Ramos.

Paul Pogba’s addition could transform them in the midfield. He has the ability to take PSG to a whole new level.
