The English striker took to Twitter to confirm that he will stay at Spurs this season amid Manchester City links.

Harry Kane has finally put an end to his exit speculations after releasing a statement that he will stay at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The 28-year-old expressed his desire to leave his boyhood club months ago in order to win more trophies.

Manchester City have been showing interest all along as they cited Kane as the top target to replace Sergio Aguero.

However, Spurs remained firm on their stance not to sell the Three Lions striker and also turned down City’s offer in excess of 100m pounds.

Recent reports claimed that Kane is still eager to force out a move from North London and join Pep Guardiola’s side.

Kane was also met with a hostile reception from fans when he came in as a substitute during last week’s Premier League clash against Wolves.

The English striker took to Twitter to confirm that he would remain at Spurs this season.

Kane wrote: “It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks.

I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success.

Nuno Santo would be relieved with the news as Kane’s continuity would maximise the club’s chances of returning to the top-four race.

Elsewhere, Man City have been handed a huge blow as they were desperate to land the English striker before the transfer window closes.
