Despite heavy links with Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane recently confirmed that he would be staying at the London club this season.

The Premier League champions submitted a massive bid for the 28-year-old England international, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy refused to sell the striker at any price.

Kane has now accepted that his short term future lies at the London club, but he is currently looking for a pay rise with them.

According to reports, the England striker is eyeing a deal worth around £330,000 a week to keep him at the club until 2027.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to accept his demands and give him a pay rise in the coming weeks.

There is no doubt that Harry Kane is one of the best players in the world, and he deserves to earn as much as other Premier League superstars.

Keeping him at the club for the long run should be the top priority for the Londoners. If the player is willing to sign a new contract with them, offering him, a lucrative deal should be a no brainer for the Premier League side.

Meanwhile, signing an extension with Tottenham could probably end the striker’s chances of securing a move to another club in the near future as well.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks.
