Santo could leave out Kane against Manchester City.

Tottenham boss Nuno Santo reportedly could leave Harry Kane out of the starting 11 in the Premier League clash against Manchester City – the club Kane wants to join this summer.

Kane returned to full training on Friday ahead of Spurs’ opening game against Man City, but Santo could rule him out as a starter to check his state of mind.

The 28-year-old had earlier missed the training sessions amid transfer links with City before he came up with a statement that he never intended to do it on purpose.

Spurs boss Sato offered his thoughts on whether Kane would play against City on Sunday: “All the decisions are not only based on fitness. It’s based on many aspects that we have to consider.

“Football players are not only professional, they deal with many situations.

“All of us, we have our own lives, and when we make decisions, I try to get as much info as I can so my decision is the best for the team.”

Man City open talks over a £120m deal for Kane

Reports have emerged of late that Manchester City are determined to sign their top target Kane this summer and would improve their offer for Spurs.

According to a new report, City have opened talks with Spurs over a potential £120m deal for the English striker.

It was widely reported that Spurs were reluctant to sell their star striker to a direct rival in the summer transfer window and would demand around £150m for parting ways with him.

City have already splurged £100m for Jack Grealish, making him the most expensive signing in Premier League history. But it looks like Kane could soon eclipse him.
