The Premier League champions are lining up a record move for Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish.
Manchester City are ready to break the bank for the signing of Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.
According to multiple reports, the deal would cost the Premier League Champions a whopping £100m, which will make the 24-year-old the most expensive English player ever. It is also added that Man City are likely to complete the deal after Euro 2020.
Grealish has grown by leaps and bounds over the last two seasons, gaining interest from Premier League’s top clubs.
The Villans playmaker is one of the coveted players in Europe at present, and he has racked up 14 goals and 16 assists in the English top-flight in the last two seasons.
It has been long speculated that Grealish is poised for a big-money move, and City have now managed to beat the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham for his signing.
Grealish is currently with the England national team, and he was impressive during the win against the Czech Republic. He is expected to retain his starting place for the round of 16 clash against Germany.
Man City are also in the hot pursuit of Grealish’s Three Lions team-mate Harry Kane, and he is likely to cost more than Grealish.
Kane is keen on leaving Tottenham this summer, having made his desire public and City are turning out to be the frontrunners to sign him.
Spurs have reportedly turned down Man City’s first offer for Harry Kane – £100m plus players in exchange – in a bid to keep him for next season.
