Liverpool eyeing Van Dijk replacement, talks underway for 20-yr-old

Jurgen Klopp reaction, after Liverpool won Premier League

Liverpool are interested signing the Schalke defender Ozan Kabak.

The 20-year-old Turkish defender has the potential to develop into a quality player in future and Jurgen Klopp is thought to be a fan of the player.

Liverpool have lost Virgil van Dijk to a knee injury for several months and it is no surprise that they’re looking to bring in another centre back.

According to reports, the Premier League champions have already started discussions with the German club regarding the signing of Ozan Kabak and it remains to be seen where the player ends up this season.

Liverpool must look to complete a deal to sign the player when the transfer window opens in January.

Currently the Premier League side have just two fit centre backs and Klopp needs more options in that department.

Ozan Kabak will be tempted to move to Liverpool if the Reds come forward with a concrete offer. Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world and any young player would want to work with a world-class manager like Jurgen Klopp who has improved several players over the course of his managerial career.

Apparently, Liverpool are looking to sign the player for 20 million pounds but the German outfit are holding out for 30 million pounds.

Schalke are in a rough patch right now and Liverpool will be hoping to persuade them into selling the player for less.
