Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in recent months.

The 34-year-old World Cup winner will be a free agent at the end of the season and the French outfit are keen on securing his services.

PSG sold an experienced defender in Thiago Silva to Chelsea earlier this season and they are looking to replace his quality and leadership with the signing of Ramos at the end of this season.

Newly appointed PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has now sent out a message to the Spanish transfer target claiming that the French outfit are an ambitious club and Ramos could have a successful spell with them if he moves to the capital club.

Sergio Ramos is a world-class player who has helped Real Madrid win several trophies. He has won the World Cup and the Euros with his country as well.

His winning experience add leadership could make a big difference to Paris Saint-Germain on and off the pitch.

It will be interesting to see if the French outfit can convince him to join them at the end of this season.

Pochettino said: “We will see in the coming months. Here, Ramos would find a great club with the obsession to always win. PSG are one of the biggest [clubs] in the world.”

Mbappe expected to continue at PSG

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move to Real Madrid but Mauricio Pochettino believes that the Frenchman will be a PSG player next season.

The French outfit are looking to tie him down to a long term contract but the two parties are yet to reach an agreement.

Mbappe is one of the most exciting young players in world football right now and he has already helped his country win the World Cup.

He has been linked with a move to the Premier League as well and it will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.

Pochettino added: “There are a lot of rumours, but I think he will be at PSG for many years to come, and that’s the club’s hope. We are counting on him for as long as we are here. It’s true that he has to make a decision [on his future], but he seems happy and very committed to this project.”
