Lazio contact David Silva over signing him on free transfer

Man City 5-0 Norwich De Bruyne, Ederson to reveive Premier League award

Lazio are thought to be keen on signing the Spanish midfielder David Silva.

The 34-year-old will be a free agent soon and the Italian side are looking to snap him up on a bargain.

Silva has been one of the best players in the Premier League during his time at City and he would be a good signing for Lazio. Despite his age, he has the quality to make a difference at the Italian club. The slow pace of the Serie A should suit him as well at this stage of his career.

It will be interesting to see where David Silva ends up eventually. The player has lucrative offers from the Middle East and it remains to be seen whether he takes up that opportunity.

Ideally, he should look to stay in Europe for another season at least. He has the quality to perform at the highest level.

Apparently, Lazio have started talks to sign the player on a free transfer and there is willingness from both parties to get the deal done.

Silva will be hoping to finish his Manchester City adventure on a high before leaving. He has helped the club win the League Cup and the Community Shield this season. Although City have lost the Premier League title to Liverpool, they are still in the Champions League.

It is the one trophy Silva has not won during his time at the club and he will be desperate to lead them to European glory.
