Reds keen on Sander Berge

Liverpool will be looking to improve their midfield options in the summer and they have been linked with the Sheffield United star Sander Berge.

The 23-year-old midfielder joined the Premier League side at the start of this season for a fee of around £22 million and it will be interesting to see if he decides to move on in the summer.

Sheffield United are at the bottom of the Premier League table and they are likely to be relegated to the championship.

The Norway international is too good to play in the championship and move to Liverpool would be ideal for him.

The Reds are expected to lose Gini Wijnaldum this summer and the Norwegian could be his long term replacement at the club.

LeBron James acquires more shares

Meanwhile, LeBron James has joined the Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group as a partner.

The basketball star had a 2% shareholding in the Premier League club but the new partnership will effectively increase his stake in Liverpool.

The 36-year-old has apparently purchased an undisclosed number of shares in FSG who have also approved a $750,000,000 private investment from Redbird Capital Partners.

It will be interesting to see if these investments can help Liverpool in the transfer market this summer.

The Reds are in desperate need of reinforcements and the owners will have to back Jurgen Klopp in the transfer market if they want to win the Premier League title once again.
