Man City edge past Sheffield United in a 1-0 win

Manchester City picked up a narrow win over Sheffield United and Kyle Walker scored the only goal of the game on the 28th minute.

Pep Guardiola will be hoping to win the title with Manchester City this season and these wins will certainly help the Premier League side in the long run.

Sheffield United have been a tough team to beat since their promotion to the Premier League and Manchester City fans will be reasonably pleased with the result today.

City were favourites heading into the game and they would have expected a more comprehensive win but in the end it is the three points that matter.

Sheffield United did well to put Manchester City under pressure in the second half and John Lundstram almost scored on the 70th minute.

Manchester City could have doubled their advantage through Bernardo Silva but Aaron Ramsdale did well to deny the Portuguese winger.

Manchester City are now unbeaten in four matches and they are seventh in the table with 11 points.

Kevin De Bruyne created the match winning goal for Manchester City and Guardiola will be hoping that his star midfielder can bail out his team while the likes of Aguero and Jesus recover from their respective injuries

Chris Wilder will be expecting better from his players in the coming weeks and it will be interesting to see if Sheffield United can step up and deliver.
