Manchester City prepared to sell Aymeric Laporte for £60m

Aymeric Laporte-Manchester City

Man City have told the Spanish centre-back that he could leave this summer for a suitable offer.

Manchester City are reportedly willing to sell Aymeric Laporte for around £60m this summer.

It has been added that the Spanish centre-back is being told by the club that he can leave Etihad this summer for a suitable offer.

Real Madrid and Juventus have been linked with Laporte for a while, but it is highly doubtful if the Spanish and Italian clubs can afford such a massive fee before the transfer window expires.

Laporte had been City’s go-to centre-back before an injury in 2019 hindered his progress.

Moreover, John Stones and Ruben Dias formed a formidable partnership in the defence last season, thus pushing the former Athletic Club star down the pecking order of Pep Guardiola.

The Spanish manager has recently stated there are few players who are feeling unhappy with their game, and they could leave in this transfer window.

City would like to welcome the offers for the outcasts as they are looking to generate funds to sign top target Harry Kane, who is likely to cost £150m.

Bernardo Silva is another player who wants to leave the Premier League Champions this summer, as his future is being questioned following the arrival of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa on a record transfer.

The Portuguese midfielder, however, doesn’t have plenty of suitors around as both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, the two clubs who have shown interest so far, could price out of a move. Silva, himself, is more interested in a La Liga move, and only top three clubs can affrod him.
