Roberto Mancini’s Italy team thrashed Lithuania 5 – 0 in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Italy thrashed Lithuania 5-0 in the World Cup Qualifiers to extend their unbeaten run to 37 games, a new world record at the international level.

Roberto Mancini gave opportunities to more youngsters in the starting line-up considering the importance of the game.

Moise Kean and Sassuolo’s young striker Giacomo Raspadori started up front in the attack, and they ended up having an excellent night.

Kean completed his brace within the half-hour mark while Raspadori, on his first-ever start for Azzurri, also found the nets.

Napoli full-back Di Lorenzo was also on target as Italy registered a massive win.

The Euro 2020 winners are now miles ahead of others in Group C of World Cup Qualifiers.

Kean’s form could be of big help to Juventus

We all know how Moise Kean slumped at Everton before picking himself up after a successful loan spell at PSG.

The young Italian completed his return to Juventus on the deadline day as he was desperate to leave Goodison Park to revive his career.

The Old Lady’s interest in strikers increased during the last days of the transfer window, especially after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.

The Bianconeri are apparently lacking the confidence at the moment given their rocky start to the new season – no wins in two Serie A games.

Kean’s arrival would be a huge boost for Max Allegri’s side and his fine nick of form might help them return to winning ways.

Raspadori – a top talent to dethrone Ciro Immobile?

Ciro Immobile endured a not-so-good Euro 2020 campaign although Italy were the winners in the end.

The Italian marksman often struggled to play in Mancini’s 4-3-3 system especially when asked to drop deep.

His club form can’t be doubted by any means as he scored an impressive hat-trick in Lazio’s impressive win against Spezia.

However, Azzurri may have unearthed a new talent in Raspadori, who has all the qualities to excel as a centre-forward.

The 21-year-old had his breakthrough season with Sassuolo last term, eventually getting the nod from Mancini for the European Championship squad.

He is now already off to a great start to this season, getting his first goal with the national team and adding to it, a goal in Serie A.
