Aguero set for summer exit

Manchester City have confirmed that Sergio Aguero will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season

The striker has been linked with a return to Spain and it can be interesting to see where he ends up.

Aguero has established himself as one of the greatest Premier League players since his move to Manchester City in 2011 and he has helped them win every domestic competition since.

Apart from his success with Manchester City, he has made quite an impact in the Premier League history as well.

The Argentine international is now the highest-scoring overseas player in the Premier League history and he also holds the record for the most Premier League hat tricks with 12.

The player has been recently linked with a move to Barcelona and it remains to be seen whether Catalan giants can reunite him with Lionel Messi this summer.

Lineker’s tribute to Aguero

Meanwhile, Premier League icon Gary Lineker has now reacted to Aguero’s departure from Manchester City stating that he has given football fans in England a lot to remember.

The former England international also wished Aguero good luck with his future endeavours.

He wrote: “You have given football fans in this country so much to remember: goals, guile and the greatest Premier League moment of them all. Well played and good wishes for whatever comes next. Gracias por todo. Espero que tengas mucha suerte.”

Real Madrid keen on Delap

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are thought to be keen on signing the Manchester City Academy striker Liam Delap.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the best prospects to come out of the Manchester City Academy and it remains to be seen whether the La Liga outfit can lure him away from England.

The youngster has a contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2023 and Real Madrid could try to sign the rising star this summer.

Liam Delap on training with the #ManCity first-team: “They are the best players, to be learning from and training with every day as a young player coming through. You look at @PhilFoden as an example. He has been in that position and he is flying now..."

Liam Delap: “Being around them teaches you so many things and improves you to make you an all-round better player. It’s made my technical side of the game better. It is helping me do things a lot quicker, it helps me think quicker.” [via @ManCity]
