Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has been linked with a move away from the Premier League club, and it seems that Flamengo have secured an agreement with the Premier League side to buy 75% of the players economic rights.

The likes of Marcos Braz and Bruno Spindel arrived in London during the weekend to secure the player’s services.

According to a report from UOL, the Brazilian outfit will pay around €14 million for the midfielder.

Pereira has a contract with the Old Trafford outfit until the summer of 2023, and he is expected to sign a contract until 2026 with Flamengo now.

The midfielder has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth at Manchester United, and an exit from the Premier League club could be ideal for his career right now.

The midfielder is undoubtedly gifted, but he needs to join a club where he will be a key option for the manager.

The Brazilian still has the time to fulfil his potential with regular football, and it remains to be seen whether he can rediscover himself with Flamengo.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will have to strengthen their midfield options in the summer, and they have been linked with several players recently.

The England international duo of Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips are on the Old Trafford outfit’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
