Premier League clubs are all set to welcome back the fans to the stadium next season, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that the Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted later this month.

The Premier League clubs were allowed to welcome a set number of their fans into the stadiums towards the end of the last season. But the crowds will be back in full capacity only in next year.

Fans have not been allowed to attend games since the coronavirus outbreak back in 2020, and the clubs have certainly missed the support in the stands.

The return of the fans in Stadium

The return of the fans will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the performances of the players and the finances of the clubs involved.

Several clubs across the globe are going through a financial crisis because of the pandemic, and the return of matchday revenue will come as a huge boost.

Premier League football has not been the same without the fans, and the players will also be excited to perform in front of thousands of fans once again. Liverpool, Manchester and London clubs would certainly benefit from the electric atmosphere in their stadium, and Fans as well as clubs will be delighted with the latest developments.

It will be interesting to see if the Premier League clubs can put the proper infrastructure in place to handle the return of the crowd while keeping all the safety measures in mind.

A Premier League statement read: “Fans have been hugely missed, so we welcome today’s announcement by the Government and are looking forward to full stadiums in the 2021/22 season.

“As we move towards a Government decision on Step 4 of the roadmap and beyond, we will continue to work with football stakeholders and relevant public authorities to ensure that the return to full capacity is done in a way that keeps everyone safe.”
