Salah demands massive pay rise

Liverpool are hoping to agree on a new deal with star forward Mohamed Salah.

The 29-year-old has a contract with the Reds until the summer of 2023 and the club owners are keen on extending his stay at Anfield with an extension.

According to Football Insider, the Egyptian international wants £500,000 a week to stay at Liverpool and it will be interesting to see whether Fenway Sports Group are ready to accept his wage demands.

Salah has been in red hot form this season and he has scored 15 goals in 12 appearances across all competitions.

Keeping him at the club for the long run should be a top priority for Liverpool and the owners must look to find a way to agree on a new deal with the player in the coming months.

Chalobah closing in on Chelsea deal

Meanwhile Chelsea youngster Trevor Chalobah is close to agreeing on a new contract with the London club after securing a place in the first-team squad this season.

The 22-year-old has impressed during his first-team appearances this season and it is no surprise that Thomas Tuchel wants to keep him in and around the first-team squad.

Chalobah is still quite young and he has a big future ahead of him. The defender is likely to improve with coaching and game time.

Chelsea are yet to concede an open play goal in the Premier League with Chalobah in the defence and the versatile defender will be hoping to cement his place as a starter in the side over the coming months.

Football London are reporting that Chelsea have been in talks with the defender’s representatives for quite some time and an agreement over a new long term contract is now close to completion.
