Manchester United Update: Zidane not keen on taking over, Red Devils want Barella and Chiesa

Zinedine Zidane-Real Madrid

Zidane not keen on Manchester United job

Manchester United have been linked with quite a few managers over the last few days especially after the defeat against Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Red Devils could look to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a more proven manager who can improve the side immediately and help them challenge for the Premier League title this season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United are keen on the former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane but the Frenchman is not keen on joining the Premier League club anytime soon.

Apparently, the Frenchman is looking to manage his national team.

The option of managing Paris Saint Germain is also an attractive proposition for Zidane and he’s waiting to see whether Mauricio Pochettino can hold on to his job at the capital club.

Zidane has won several major trophies during his time as the manager of Real Madrid and he would be a massive upgrade on the Norwegian at Old Trafford.

It will be interesting to see who the Red Devils end up appointing eventually.

Red Devils eyeing Italian duo

Meanwhile Manchester United are already planning future transfers regardless of their managerial situation right now.

Apparently, the Premier League giants have identified three potential targets to improve their squad.

Fichajes are reporting that Nicolo Barella, Federico Chiesa and Kieran Trippier are targets for the Old Trafford outfit.

Barella has established himself as one of the best central midfielders around Europe right now and he would be a massive upgrade on the likes of Fred.

Meanwhile, Chiesa was exceptional for his country during the European Championships and he has been a star for Juventus this season.

The Italian international would certainly improve the Manchester United attack with his pace and flair.

Furthermore, Aaron Wan Bissaka has been quite inconsistent since his move to Old Trafford and the Red Devils could use a more experienced option as they write back.

Kieran Trippier has done a good job for Atletico Madrid and he could prove to be a quality short term addition.
