Premier League suitors told to pay £300,000-a-week if they want Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland-Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the recent months and it seems that the striker is demanding massive wages in order to move to England.

Apparently, the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid are all interested in signing the 20-year-old striker who has scored 25 goals in all competitions this season.

Apparently, the striker is demanding a basic £300,000 a week in order to move to the Premier League. It would be a five-year package worth around £78 million.

It will be interesting to see if his suitors are willing to cough up that kind of money for the Norwegian this summer.

There is no doubt that Haaland is one of the best young players in the world and he is destined to be a superstar.

He has the talent and the potential to justify that kind of outlay on him but the coronavirus pandemic has affected the finances of almost every club and it will be interesting to see if the deal makes economic sense for the player’s suitors.

The striker has a £68 million release clause in his contract with Borussia Dortmund but it cannot be triggered before the summer of 2022.

It remains to be seen whether the German club are willing to sanction his departure at the end of this season especially if they miss out on Champions League football.
