Timo Werner looking to return to Germany after Champions League win with Chelsea. Julian Nagelsmann's Bayern Munich could be interested.

Timo Werner-Chelsea

Chelsea striker Timo Werner has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer after a disappointing debut campaign in England.

The Blues paid top dollar for his services last summer, but the German international has produced just six goals in the Premier League this past season.

According to reportsChelsea are now looking to sign a world-class striker ahead of the new season, and Werner is open to the idea of leaving the club.

The player’s representatives have already informed Borussia Dortmund that the player would be open to joining them if Erling Haaland moves the other way.

Furthermore, Bayern MunichJuventus and Paris Saint Germain are also monitoring the German international situation. It will be interesting to see if they come forward with a concrete offer for him in the coming weeks.

Bayern will probably have an advantage in the transfer chase because Werner wants to move back to Germany this summer.

There is no doubt that the 25-year-old is a quality player who has struggled to adapt to the Premier League, and he could prove to be a superb signing for another club.

Werner was one of the most exciting talents in Germany when he played for RB Leipzig, and there is no reason why he cannot recapture his form and confidence once again.

His performances in Germany prompted Chelsea to fork out a fee of around £48 million for him last summer, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues can recoup most of that this summer.
