Chelsea spent a significant amount of money to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the club during the summer transfer window, but the transfer has not worked out as expected so far.

The Belgian international has struggled to replicate his peak form at Stamford Bridge, and he has publicly voiced his desire to return to Inter Milan.

However, the player later apologised publicly and reiterated his commitment to the club.

It seems that Lukaku is sharing cryptic messages regarding his future once again. The striker recently took to social media to express his unhappiness.

On Friday afternoon, the striker sent out a message on his Snapchat account where he wrote (via Express) – “If you have to force it, then it probably doesn’t fit” on Friday afternoon.

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are keen on cashing in on the player at the end of this season. Keeping an unhappy player at the club will not benefit the squad, and Lukaku is better off leaving Stamford Bridge permanently.

Here at Anytime football, we look at some of the options for the Belgian international if he decides to leave Chelsea.

Borussia Dortmund

When Erling Haaland leaves the club, the German club will need a top-class striker, and Lukaku could be a quality alternative.

 Paris Saint-Germain

Kylian Mbappe is set to leave the club when his contract expires in the summer, and the French giants could use a top-class goal scorer like Lukaku.

 Newcastle United

The magpies are flush with cash after the takeover, and they will look to bring in big money signings in the summer. Lukaku could be the man to lead the revolution at St James’s park.

Tottenham Hotspur

Antonio Conte helped the Belgian develop his game, and the Italian got the best out of the striker during their time together at Inter Milan. Tottenham could definitely use another quality goal scorer, and a reunion with Conte could be on the cards.

Inter Milan

The player has publicly admitted that he loves the Italian club and is looking to return in the future. A return to Inter Milan could be the ideal solution for the Belgian.
