Tottenham update: Diop interest, Spurs betting on Alli’s adaptation like Ndombele

Tottenham's Dele Alli robbed on knifepoint this morning

Issa Diop interest

Tottenham have been linked with a move for the West ham defender Issa Diop.

The 24-year-old is expected to leave the Hammers after falling down the pecking order at the London club.

Tottenham could certainly use some defensive depth in their side and the 24-year-old West ham defender has the potential to develop into a quality player for the Premier League side.

It will be interesting to if Spurs can convince their London rivals to sell the 24-year-old to them this month or in the summer.

Spurs betting on Dele Alli’s adaptation like Ndombele

Meanwhile, Tottenham are unwilling to sell Dele Alli to Paris Saint-Germain permanently.

They are looking to loan the player out so that he can regain his confidence and form.

Apparently the Premier League club believes that Alli could resurrect his Tottenham career just like Tanguy Ndombele.

The Frenchman fell out of favour with Mourinho last season but he managed to rediscover himself this season and Spurs believe that Ali could do the same given time.

Alli has started just one league game this season and he needs to leave Spurs in order to play more often. A reunion with Pochettino at PSG could help his resurrect his career.

With the Euros coming up this summer, Alli will have to play well in the next few months to secure his place in the England lineup. Staying at Spurs could be damaging for him during the second half of the season.
