West Ham

West Ham will be in search of their fifth win in the Premier League when they welcome Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace side to the London Stadium.

The Hammers continued their poor start to the season with yet another loss to Manchester United last weekend. Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the tie as the Hammers fell to their seventh loss of the season.

The loss to Manchester United condemned David Moyes’ side to a 13th-place position in the EPL table, with just three points separating them from 18th-placed Leicester City.

With the Hammers having only recently climbed out of the relegation places, David Moyes will be keen to see his side continue their climb up the tables.

Meanwhile, they continued their fine form in the UEFA Europa Conference League where they are yet to taste defeat, by taking maximum points against FCSB last Thursday.

The win saw the Hammers maintain a 100% record in the competition by winning all their games to book a place in the knockout rounds of the UEFA Europa Conference League. David Moyes will hope to see his side bring that European form home and push for a win against Crystal Palace. Given that they have won their last six home games, they will fancy their chances of getting another win here as they chase a club record of seven consecutive wins at home.

Possible West Ham starting line-up

Alphonse Areola; Thilo Kehrer, Craig Dawson, Kurt Zouma, Aaron Cresswell; Tomáš Souček, Declan Rice; Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals, Saïd Benrahma; Gianluca Scamacca.

Injured: Lukasz Fabianski

Doubtful: Lucas Paqueta, Maxwel Cornet

Suspended: None

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, will be looking to build on their latest win over Southampton last weekend.

Odsonne Edouard gave the Eagles the lead in the 38th minute, by finishing off a fine team move after some fine work by Wilfried Zaha, who found Tyrell Mitchel down the channel, who in turn laid it off for the French attacker to slam home.

Crystal Palace will now look to secure yet another win when they travel to London, but with one win in their last five meetings with the Hammers, Patrick Vieira’s team have their work cut out for them when they take to the field at the London Stadium.

Given that David Moyes’ side are currently in good shape at home while Palace are struggling away from home, it will be hard to predict anything than another loss for the visitors who have not beaten their hosts in their last four meetings (D2, L2).

With the World Cup and the festive season nearly upon us, Vieira will be eager to see his side hold down a good spot on the table before the domestic games are halted. And so, this penultimate game before the break is a must-win for Palace who are still looking for their first away league win since April.

Possible Crystal Palace starting line-up

Vincente Guaita; Joel Ward, Joachim Andersen, Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell; Luka Milivojevic; Michael Olise, Jeffrey Schlupp,, Eberechi Eze, Wilfried Zaha; Odsonne Edouard.

Injured: Chris Richards, James McArthur
