Atletico Madrid are all set to sign Luis Suarez from Barcelona this summer.
The Spanish giants are looking to cash in on the experienced Uruguayan and the player has agreed to join their rivals.
Atletico have been in talks with the player for a while now and they were waiting to offload some of their own players before pushing forward with the signing.
It is believed that Alvaro Morata is now close to signing for Juventus on a loan deal and Luis Suarez will be his replacement at the club.
Apparently the Uruguayan striker has already spoken to the Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone.
It will be interesting to see how he performs for Atletico Madrid this season.
There is no doubt that Suarez is a world-class player on his day but he is in his 30s now and his qualities are regressing. he is no longer the player he was at Barcelona before.
However, his winning experience, leadership qualities, ability on the ball and the drive to succeed remains the same. He could prove to be a wonderful asset for Atletico Madrid and Diego Simeone this season.
It will be interesting to see if Barcelona decide to bring it another striker as his replacement. Currently, Antoine Griezmann is the starting striker at the club.
Suarez has been a star at every club he has been and he will be hoping to make his mark at Atletico Madrid now.
He has won trophies with Ajax, Liverpool and Barcelona. it remains to be seen whether he’s capable of guiding the capital club to silverware this season.
