West Ham United

West Ham will look to make it two league wins in two games when they host Tottenham on Wednesday.

The Hammers had opened their league campaign this season with three straight losses against Manchester City (2-0), Nottingham Forest (1-0) and Brighton (2-0). But last weekend, they were able to put that miserable run to a halt when they beat Aston Villa 1-0 away from home.

The win was their second win in the Premier League since early March (D2, L6), and would have given the under-pressure David Moyes some breathing space.

It was also their third win in their last three competitive games following two wins against Viborg that saw them book their place in the Europa Conference League group stage.

With Chelsea due to visit next after this game, Moyes’ side will be desperate to win this game and climb up the table as they look to maintain their quest for a place in Europe this season.

Possible West Ham starting line-up

Lukasz Fabianski; Thilo Kehrer, Kurt Zouma, Angelo Ogbonna; Vladimir Coufal, Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice, Emerson; Pablo Fornals, Jarrod Bowen; Michail Antonio.

Injured: Craig Dawson, Benjamin Johnson

Doubtful: Nayef Aguerd

Suspended: None

Tottenham Hotspur

Despite being the worst of the two teams, Tottenham continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season last Sunday when they beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 courtesy of a brace by Harry Kane.

The England striker who moved to third in the Premier League top scorers list gave Antonio Conte’s side all three points with two fine goals either side of half-time.

The result took Spurs’ tally in the league this season to ten points, placing them in the third position behind Arsenal and Manchester City.

The win also extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to ten games (W6, D4) while it was also the sixth time in their last ten away games they had kept a clean sheet.

So despite their poor performance in Nottingham last weekend, they will travel across London full of confidence and belief that they can get a win in this game.

Possible Tottenham starting line-up

Hugo Lloris; Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Ben Davies; Ivan Perisic, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Emerson Royal; Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son.

Injured: Cristian Romero, Oliver Skipp, Lucas Moura

Doubtful: Bryan Gil
