West Ham United

After their FA Cup exertions, West Ham return to the Premier League as they welcome Watford to the Olympic Stadium.

The hosts managed to avoid a defeat in the FA Cup against lowly Kidderminster Harriers. They needed extra time to see off the non-league side thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s 121st-minute strike.

The win ended a two-game losing run for David Moyes’ side who were beaten 1-0 by Manchester United in the last PL round.

They come into this tie sitting in fifth place, one point behind Manchester United who have played a game less. Their chances of finishing in the top four is now outside of their control.

The ‘Hammers’ will be desperate to win this game to avoid falling further behind. They will be encouraged by the fact that they have scored 2+ goals in five of their last six home league matches (W3, D1, L2).

Possible West Ham starting line-up

Lukasz Fabianski; Vladimir Coufal, Craig Dawson, Kurt Zouma, Aaron Cresswell; Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek; Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals, Said Benrahma; Michail Antonio.

Injured: Angelo Ogbonna

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Watford

Watford picked up a valuable point in their quest for survival when they drew with Burnley in their last game on Friday.

The result means that they come into this tie sitting in 18th place, level on points with Newcastle in 19th.

They have not won a game since November when they beat Manchester United 4-1.

However, new manager Roy Hodgson has the experience of steadying sinking teams and after picking up their first away league clean sheet since January 2020 in the draw with Burnley, they will come into this tie confident.

The Hornets are unbeaten in five of the last eight H2Hs as the away side (W4, D1, L3) and will cause West Ham some trouble.

Possible Watford starting line-up

Ben Foster; Kiko Femenia, Craig Cathcart, Samir, Hassane Kamara; Juraj Kucka, Edo Kayembe, Moussa Sissoko; Josh King, Emmanuel Dennis, Ken Sema.

Injured: Kwadwo Baah and Nicolas Nkoulou

Doubtful: Peter Etebo

Suspended: None
