Antonio Conte uncertain over Inter Milan future after Europa League

Conte explains why Inter signed Alexis Sanchez

The Nerazzurri manager seems tentative on his future at San Siro.

Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte has expressed his uncertainty over his future after the Europa League slump.

Inter lost the game 3-2 against Sevilla in the finals, with Romelu Lukaku scoring a dramatic own goal.

Following the defeat, Conte said that he is planning to meet the hierarchy to discuss his future.

“We’re going to meet next week with the club and we’ll decide about my future. I’m not sure that I’ll be the Inter manager next season, we’ll decide together.”

“Inter will plan the future with or without me.”

The Italian manager had earlier criticized the Nerazzurri directors for the inability to recognize their players, leaving them vulnerable.

“I don’t think the work of the players has been recognised and I don’t think my work has been recognised.” “We all received very little protection from the club, absolutely zero.”

Conte led Inter to a second-place finish in Serie A on his return to the fold as a manager. The former Chelsea gaffer was impressive, but not to the extent of winning neither the Scudetto nor the Europa League title.

Inter had the chance to break the duck in the Continental competition but ultimately failed to Julen Lopetegui’s side last night.

It has been previously reported that Max Allegri would take over the duties should Conte call it time with Inter.

Conte has created a well-rounded side at Inter and been productive with the transfer strategies as well.
