The Catalans look to have not given up their interest in the Argentine striker.

Barcelona are seemingly not done with Lautaro Martinez as they are set to make a final ditch effort for him.

According to reports, Barca are planning to make their final bid for Inter striker, who had been long considered as the successor to Luis Suarez.

Although Ronald Koeman, the new manager of Barca, prefers Memphis Depay, the Blaugrana’s priority has been the Argentine striker.

It has been previously reported that Barca had given up their pursuit of Martinez considering his valuation.

Meanwhile, Koeman looks to have sorted out Depay as the replacement for Luis Suarez, aiming to reunite with his Dutch counterpart. The Lyon star is valued at 17 million pounds as his current deal expires at the end of the next season.

Suarez is nearing his exit from the Nou Camp and has set his sights on joining the Serie A champions Juventus.

Depay and Martinez had an impressive season with their respective clubs, with the latter one being a revelation.

The Argentine youngster found the nets more than 20 times last term, helping the Nerazzurri to a second-place finish in Serie A and UEFA Europa League.

Martinez was also said to have made up his mind to join the Catalans considering the prospect of joining hands with his compatriot Lionel Messi.

It remains to be seen who Barca will choose in the end while Depay costs lower than Martinez.
