The Juventus winger has been cited as the replacement for Jadon Sancho
Manchester United are apparently working hard to bring Juventus winger Douglas Costa, who has been handpicked as the alternative to long-time target Jadon Sancho.
According to reports, Man Utd have submitted a bid worth £27m for Costa, who Juve are willing to cash in on this summer.
The 29-year-old has hardly made his presence felt with Bianconeri over the course and Pirlo also looks no different as he doesn’t see Costa in his plans next summer.
Furthermore, Costa has been lined up alongside several first-team players to leave Turin this summer as Serie A Champions look to rebuild the squad.
Elsewhere, United appear to have fallen short in their pursuit of long-time target Sancho, who has now made up his mind to stay with Borussia Dortmund for another season.
The Old Trafford has been touted as the next destination for the English winger, Dortmund, however, remained steadfast in keeping their prodigious star.
Costa would be a good addition to the Red Devils given his experience in Bundesliga and Serie A.
It remains to be seen whom United will sign in their search for the replacement to Sancho.
United have also concerns regarding Paul Pogba, who is said to be on the radar of Pirlo.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has managed to earn his side a place in the Champions League after finishing third in the Premier League last term.
