Juventus picked up a 4-1 win over Bologna in the Italian League earlier tonight.

A brace from Alvaro Morata and goals from Federico Chiesa and Adrien Rabiot wrapped up a memorable win for the Italian giants in a must-win game.

Juventus needed to finish in the top 4, and Andrea Pirlo will be delighted that his side have managed to scrape into the final Champions League position in the end.

Cristiano Ronaldo dropped to the bench

It came as a major shock when the Italian outfit decided to drop the Portuguese international to the bench in a crucial game.

Pirlo opted for Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata as his attacking duo tonight, but reports revealed that it was Ronaldo himself who requested to be dropped to the bench.

Apparently, the player was tired after a stretch of around five matches in the last 15 days, and therefore he wanted a bit of rest.

One of the most complete performances of the season

It has been a mediocre season by Juventus’ standards, but they were excellent tonight, and they deserve all three points.

The Italian outfit not only dominated the possession against will Bologna, but they also showed a fantastic array of passing and movement. Juventus were quite clinical as well.

It was an exhibition performance from the Old Lady, and the fans will be hoping for more of the same next season.

Paulo Dybala in sublime form

The Argentine produced a sensational display for his side tonight.

Despite not managing to score a goal, he created several chances for his teammates with his dribbles and passing. In the absence of Ronaldo, he took on the responsibility and delivered an important performance.

The Argentine was instrumental to Morata’s brace tonight, and he was undoubtedly one of the best players on the pitch tonight.

Champions League berth sealed

Juventus finished in 4th place just one point ahead of Napoli who were held to a 1-1 draw against Chievo Verona.

The Italian giants have been quite poor this season and they could have easily missed out on Champions League football.

Andrea Pirlo and his team will count themselves lucky that Napoli dropped points in the final game and it will be interesting to see if Juventus can come back stronger next year.
