Juventus

Juventus will look to get back to winning ways when they welcome Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma side to Turin this Saturday.

Maximiliano Allegri’s side come into this game on the back of a goalless draw against Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria. Despite boasting more shots on target and more possession, the Old Lady were unable to find the breakthrough.

The result would have left Allegri frustrated with the Italian coach complaining about his side’s disjointed display in his post-match comments.

After failing to back up an impressive victory in their opening Serie A fixture – a 3-0 win at home to Sassuolo–the hosts will be desperate to win this game to ensure that their quest for their first Scudetto in three years does not end before it even begins.

Given that they have won the last three meetings with Roma, they will come into this tie confident of getting a positive result.

Possible Juventus starting line-up

Mattia Perin, Mattia De Sciglio, Leonardo Bonucci, Gleison Bremer, Alex Sandro, Weston McKennie, Manuel Locatelli, Adrien Rabiot, Moise Kean, Dusan Vlahovic, Filip Kostic

Injured: Paul Pogba, Federico Chiesa, Kaio Jorge

Doubtful: Angel Di Maria, Wojciech Szczesny

Suspended: None

AS Roma

AS Roma continued their impressive start to the season with another 1-0 win over newly-promoted Cremonese last weekend.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been lucky with fixtures as they have played two smaller teams in two games. Their first match of the season was against last season’s relegation contenders Salernitana–a game they also won by 1-0.

And so with two 1-0 wins in two games, the Romans travel to Turin as one of the two sides to possess a perfect defensive record so far in the league (the other being Juventus). And so, with both sides tight in defence and not clinical in attack, we can expect a cagey affair when they meet.

Possible away team starting line-up

Rui Patricio, Gianluca Mancini, Chris Smalling, Roger Ibanez, Rick Karsdorp, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Bryan Cristante, Leonardo Spinazzola, Paulo Dybala, Stephan El Shaarawy, Tammy Abraham

Injured: Nicolo Zaniolo, Georginio Wijnaldum, Ebrima Darboe

Doubtful: None
